      Bangladesh is a small nation surrounded by its large neighbour India.Bangladesh is one of the worlds most poorest and most heavily population countries. With more than 156 million within 55,598 squre miles (143,999 squre kilometer).Known as Pakistan following a civil war in 1971.

    Bangali is one of the most spoken languages in the world,more than 200 million speakers in India and Bangladesh alone.

     Bangladesh means"Land of Bengalis," most of the people are Bengalis who are related to India.

     one or more school in every villiage. Gogovernment provide free education for first five years, less than half of the population age 15 or over can read and write. Three major universities: Chittagong University,The University Of Rashahi, The University Of Dhaka.

4.Land

 

     Bangladesh-low plain crisscrossed by rivers, is slightly smaller than wisconsin.Southest of Bangladesh is a higher region called chittagong hills. The highest point is Keokradong, with an elevation of 4.035 feet(1230 meters)

5.Major Cities

 

      There are few major center in Bangladesh, most important of these is Dhaka, the capityal and largest city, with a population of more than 6 milliom people. Previously the capital of East Pakistan the city has many historic buildings and is an educational and cultural center. Chitagongis a major industrail and rail center as well.

6.River

 

     The most important rivers are the Brahmaputre(or Jamuna) and the Ganger (or Padma). These riversa enter from the north and, flow into the bay of Bengal. 

7.Climate

 

     Bangladesh is a tropical country. Average temperatures range from over 60°F (16°c) to over 90°F(32°c).

Land of torrential monsoon rains, witch fall from June to October. In addition, storms called cyclone (or typhoons) regularly bring heavy flooding to the region, causing many deaths and widespread devastation. 

8.Way Of Live

 

     most people live in elevated thacted huts or prefabricated buildings in villigages located along rivers, cannels, or roads. They usually eat riceand fish with some vegetables. Clean drink water is not always avalibale so many people become ill from waterborn disease. Men traditionally wear the lungi, an ankle length piece of cloth tucked up to the knees, more education men wear european style clothing. Women wear saris-long, colorful garments draped around the body from the shoulder to the ankles. Traditionally, muslim women cover thier faces, especially around stranges.

9.Ecnomy

 

     Many Bangladeshis leave thier country to work in Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi, Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The salary they send home are important to Bangladesh's economy.

10.History 

 

     Once part of larger Bengal region of estern India. Over many centuries, this area was rulerd by succesive groups of invarders, the Turks, and the British. In 1947, India gained its independence from Baritian, and East Bengal(now Bangladesh) become part of Pakistan. Pakistan originally consisted of two part, East Pakistan and West Pakistan, which were separated by India and were about 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) apart. The people and culture of these two parts were quite different, and problems began when groups from West Pakistan cantrol the East Pakistan.
